De eerste officiële oproep leverden al meerdere tientallen mailtjes en dito comments op, maar we zijn er nog lang niet. Nog veel meer lezers van Alternative Blog die nog niet hebben gemaild of gepost, kunnen vast wel even laten weten wat volgens hen het beste album van het afgelopen decennium is. Dat is mogelijk door mij hoogstpersoonlijk je top 3 van beste cd’s van de laatste tien jaar in te sturen, of door je lijstje domweg hieronder in de reactiehoek achter te laten. Om het tellen leuk te houden, moet ik streng zijn en zijn uitstuitend top 3-lijstjes toegestaan, hoe onmenselijk deze beperking misschien ook is.
Dat in ieder geval Radiohead’s Kid A en Arcade Fire’s Funeral al vaak in de lijstjes voorkomen, vond ik niet zo verrassend. Wel opmerkelijk vind ik de geregelde terugkeer van Interpol’s debuut Turn On The Bright Lights uit 2003 in de lijstjes, vaak zelfs op de toppositie. Ook verschillende albums van Elbow en Sigur Rós doen het tot nu toe erg.
Iedereen die nog niets van zich heeft laten horen, mag zijn of haar top 3 van beste albums van de jaren ‘00 mailen naar [email protected], o.v.v. Beste Albums ‘00. Of post hieronder, als u dat nog niet eerder heeft gedaan. Dit blijft nog mogelijk tot eind november.
