1. Eigenlijk niet eens een los concert, maar de constante high op Into The Great Wide Open. Met Audiotransparent in de dorpskerk van Vlieland als muzikale uitschieter. Het was sowieso een goed jaar voor de kleinere, vaak vooruitstrevende festivals. De Affaire, Incubate, Le Guess Who?: allemaal zeer geslaagde afleveringen van evenementen waar de liefde voor muziek vanaf druipt.
2. Kyteman’s hiphop orkest, 13/03/2009 in Tivoli, de shows op Pinkpop en in de HMH mochten er ook zijn.

** Toch wel de opvallende afwezige in de OOR’s top 50 over afgelopen jaar. Zijn popcritici in Nederland dan toch uitgekeken geraakt op Antony? Of komt het toch door het ietwat tegenvallende concert in Carre? Of treedt zelfs bij de beste soort dure wijn op een gegeven moment een gevoel van verzadiging/gewenning op?
*** Beetje flauw om in de top 10 te zetten, aangezien The Seldom Seen Kid uit 2009 komt, maar deze live versie overstijgt het origineel. Dat mag een klein wonder heten.
